Olbia, an increasingly university city, is preparing to host an important series of workshops focused on innovation and self-employment in the tourism sector, organized by Dipartimento di Scienze economiche e aziendali dwell'Università di Sassari in collaboration with the UniOlbia University Consortium and the Olbia section of Fidapa BPW Italy.

The startups of the future

The first appointment is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11 am in the Sala Einaudi del Polo Universitario all'aeroporto "Olbia Costa Smeralda". The teacher Antonio Usai del Disea will introduce and moderate the workshop focused on "Tourism product innovation and innovative ideas for start-ups of the future". There will be two moments. The first moment will be the sharing of ideas and experiences of FIDAPA BPW Italy members, who will dedicate themselves to the presentation of professional paths and market opportunities. The second will be dedicated to the presentation of market paths and professional opportunities, with managers and entrepreneurs.

Students can participate in a competition of ideas promoted by Fidapa of Olbia to propose entrepreneurial initiatives for the tourism sector. The ideas will be presented during a workshop in Olbia in May 2024.

Design and brand identity in tourism

Then follows Thursday, April 18, always in the same location but at 14, the workshop dedicated to "Design and Brand Identity for the innovation of the tourist and cultural product of Sardinia". Mara Damiani, known creativity designer, will speak to discuss the strategic role of design and brand identity, with a debate, moderated by professor Usai, which promises to be a unique opportunity to deepen the importance of the image in the positioning of products and services in the global market.

Innovative enterprises in tourism

The last meeting - scheduled for Monday, April 22 in two moments, from 10 to 13, from 14 to 17 - will explore the theme of "Start-Up and innovative companies in tourism. Strategies and tools to make ideas operational". Antonio Gavino Diaz, specialized in development projects, will share his expertise on technical and practical tools for the creation of new businesses, focusing on how legislation and case histories can support market competitiveness.

These events represent an unmissable opportunity for students and professionals in the tourism sector of Olbia and Gallura, who will be able to deepen current issues. Participation is in fact free, a sign of inclusiveness that reflects the dynamism and cultural openness of the University of Sassari and UniOlbia and their partners towards the Olbiese community, underlining the vital role of innovation and self-eentrepreneurship for the economic and social development of Sardinia and its tourist context, both at national and international level.
